poem of an experience of being distrusted

What did I do deserve this?

I know I'm not perfect, but why can't you trust me

Everything I did was to maintain your trust in me

I sacrificed desires to prove that your trust wasn't amiss

Now I feel like you really have been using me

Your hurting me and causing resentment to unfold 

My anger wants me to hate thee

I better trust in God before it's too late and my heart grows cold

I thought we were better than this 

I thought our faith had taught us better than this 

I feel like you have been using me now 

I was the wild but silent ox yoked to the plow 

I hoped my behavior has shown I could be entrusted 

Now I have seen my effort only led to my heart getting busted
