Wishful ThinkingA Poem by Sir JoeWhen it seems impossible to make something you want happen, it's not bad to just wish upon a star.
Majestic full moon crowned by puffy clouds
Amidst the dark, it looks extremely proud. The stars say sorry, they were absentees Last night when rain was flirting with the breeze. Monsoon from northwest brings its tickling cold While children chill as stories old are being told. The creamy coffee sends apologies; It failed to vanquish all the nip in me. With every sip, there's heat outpowered by Low Celsius that December never can belie. If caffeine keeps its promised sure-fire flight From slumber in this one September night, I'll wait for falling stars that God lets loose For hopeful souls whose hearts reside in blues.
