Darkness

As the darkness takes over the light that is my soul. 
I sit and think of nothing as my mind is in a deep silence. 
While my sorrow slowly kills the love I had. 
I look and see I am alone. 
All I have now is my shadow. 
Even that ends up leaving me at the end of the day. 
I wish nothing more than to be with you. 
But you do not with the same. 
Now I must go into the darkness with only my pain.
