Chapter 4 - Proof

This is the fourth chapter of the book.

Kenan and Elysia have made it back to Blackburn industries. The couple had to hold their noses due to a foul smell coming from the office space. They gasped at the sight of the floor being covered with the corpses of Caesar’s gunmen. “So, honey. Why are we back here? My God the awful smell is overwhelming.” said Elysia. “We are here to investigate Blackburn’s conference room.” said Kenan as he went back into the conference room. “So, what are we looking for here?” said Elysia. “Proof that Caesar Blackburn is a sick b*****d as well as his band of flunkies.” said Kenan. The couple searched high and low in the room and found nothing incriminating lying around until they came across the file storage cabinets. Kenan tried to open one of them, but it was locked. “Stand back babe. I will take care of this.” said Elysia as she pried the cabinet open with her demon powers. Kenan and Elysia gasped at the sight of what was in that cabinet. In it were pictures of all the children from the cargo container. In each picture, the children were being brutalized in various ways by Caesar and the gunmen. There were also a couple of printer paper boxes that contained bundles of cash in them. On top of the boxes was a notebook containing a list of names, addresses and money amounts written next to each one. Caesar’s name was written on the top of the front page. There was also a laptop computer that had the password written on a note taped on it. Fortunately for the couple, the computer still had some power left in the battery, so they logged on to it to view its contents. On that device were all the videos of child Patricia being abused by Caesar. “Oh, my f*****g God!!” said Kenan as he fell to his knees breathing heavily. “Babe. Are you okay?” said Elysia as she embraced Kenan. “I am fine. Please give me a minute.” said Kenan as he got back up to his feet. “What is all this?” said Elysia. “I believe this is all of the evidence behind Caesar’s evil doing.” said Kenan. “I am sure that there is more in all these cabinets. We must take pictures of these.” said Elysia as she pulled out her phone and took pictures of the contents in every single file cabinet. “We must find Caesar. I want his a*s locked up for life. He must pay.” said Kenan. “But where are we going to look?” said Elysia. “I think I know where he is.” said Kenan as he pulled out his phone to call a rideshare. Now having the proof of Caesar’s atrocious acts, the couple set out to find him.
