Chapter 4 – RebirthA Chapter by johnub4This is the fourth chapter of the book.So Gordon spent the next three months training with
Zeus at Mount Olympus for the inevitable rematch with Leviathan. Zeus may be
Gordon’s friend, but he wasn’t going to let him go through training that
easily. The thunder god unleashed demons on Gordon that he had locked up in his
dungeon. Zeus made sure the demons were of lower level to make sure Gordon
couldn’t take much physical damage. At first Gordon was unable to conjure up
Hadad’s powers despite wearing his body. In time, Gordon was able to use
Hadad’s elemental power of air. Any demon that came at Gordon was destroyed
instantly from his attacks. On the final day before the rematch, Gordon and
Zeus had one final conversation in the throne room. “Hadad, I can honestly say
I believe you’re ready.” said Zeus. “Thank you, Zeus.” said Gordon. “Before I
let you go into battle tomorrow, I need you to take this.” said Zeus as he
handed Gordon a glass orb. “What is this?” said Gordon. “Your new power.” said
Zeus. At an instant, the orb glowed white, and it reacted to Hadad’s elemental
power of air. The sorcerer’s power activated on its own and it absorbed a
portion of it. “Woah. What happened?” said Gordon. “Your new relic has made you
completely immune to all elements as long as you hold the mura stone.” said Zeus.
“The mura stone. Why is it called that?” said Gordon. “Honestly, I named it
after one of my favorite girls that I have slept with.” said Zeus. “Very funny
Zeus. I got to ask. Why would you give me this? What makes you think I won’t
use it for evil?” said Gordon. “It’s because you and I are one and the same. If
something happened to you, I don’t know what I would do. Also, I trust that you
would never do something like that with it. That’s the reason why the stone
glowed white. The mura stone can sense whether it’s use will be for good or
evil.” said Zeus. “I see. Thank you, Zeus.” said Gordon. “Anyway, how do you
feel?” said Zeus. “I feel like I am ready for tomorrow. Leviathan will wish she
was never born.” said Gordon. Gordon looked at that moment as a time of
rebirth. © 2025 johnub4 |
