Chapter 5 - Battle

This is the fifth chapter of the book.

After three months of anticipation, the day of the rematch for the title of Envy finally arrived. Gordon geared up and headed for the coliseum near the Bloody Palace. The place was crowded with a massive audience. Zeus sat on a balcony with a group of women to cheer Gordon on. “You can do it Hadad just like you’ve done before.” said Zeus. Satan sat on her throne of the high balcony to announce for the fight. Gordon checked out Satan and was enamored by how she looked in her human form. The Devil wore a dress with black and white stripes. Her skin, hair, and eyes were as white as snow. She wore a black iron crown on her forehead. Gordon thought to himself, “I never knew that the Devil would be so beautiful.” Gordon then turned his head to face Leviathan. Leviathan breathed loudly ready to fight. “We are here for the rematch between the demon sorcerer Hadad and the sea serpent Leviathan. The match is no holds barred. The opponents are allowed to use any means necessary to win the match. The fight is over when one either dies or surrenders.” said Satan. “Prepare to meet your doom Hadad. Your life ends here.” said Leviathan. “We will see about that.” said Gordon. Satan magically removed the crown on Gordon’s head and said, “Let the match begin!!” “It’s time to play.” said Leviathan as she summoned an army of water demons and unleashed them out on Gordon. “Ha! Like that idea would work on me.” said Gordon as he conjured up a tornado and swallowed up Leviathan’s band of followers. At an instant, Leviathan charged at Gordon in her demon serpent form. Leviathan’s form itself was a sea creature twenty times Gordon’s size. Her demon body was covered in scales. She had a fin that caused a tremendous breeze that struck the crowd and made them shake in their seats. “Did you really think that was my real plan? You are my dinner. Prepare to be swallowed.” said Leviathan. “No! No! I will not die here. Not ever!!” said Gordon as he struggled to break free from Leviathan’s jaws. “You will regret ever facing me for the title.” said Leviathan. “You’re the one with regrets.” said Gordon as he used his power of air to whisk himself out of Leviathan’s mouth. The crowd applauded at the sight of Gordon’s extraordinary prowess in escaping from the jaws of death. “You are so vexing. Why do you want to risk your own life for that crown?” said Leviathan. “This isn’t about the crown. This is for me. I’m doing this to prove myself that I can accomplish as a demon for Lady Satan.” said Gordon. “I admire that devotion. I will make sure to prepare a grave for you after I kill you.” said Leviathan as she gathered water from the lake for her. “What are you doing?” said Gordon. “You will see. You will see.” said Leviathan as the patches of water formed into a stream. “Hadad! The mura stone!!” said Zeus from the crowd. “Right.” said Gordon as he pulled out the relic from his pocket. “You think that little rock will stop my attack? Let’s see if it can. Prepare to die!!” said Leviathan as she unleashed her attack on Gordon. Gordon looked at the relic and said, “I hope you work.” “You can do it Hadad!” said Zeus. At first, Gordon was struck by the water making him scream. “Come on mura stone. Stop this and bring my enemy down.” said Gordon. And with that, the mura stone glowed and formed a protective shield around Gordon. “It’s working. Leviathan, get ready to tumble.” said Zeus giving a smile as he seen the glow. “I think you had enough. It’s over.” said Leviathan as she called off her attack. “Ha! Did you really think it’s over?” said Gordon as he landed on the ground. “How can that be?” said Leviathan. “Ha! It’s over for you.” said Gordon as he commanded the mura stone to strike Leviathan with a tremendous bolt of lightning causing her to scream. Gordon attacked Leviathan until she was forced to revert to her human form. “I can’t believe it. How could I lose?” said Leviathan as she fell to her knees. Gordon approached Leviathan and stared her in the face. “How about you surrender? You lost.” said Gordon. “No!! Kill me.” said Leviathan. “Unfortunately, I am not doing that. That is not the demon I am. I don’t fight to kill. Now give up.” said Gordon. “You disgust me. I hope Satan gets rid of you when she feels like it. I surrender!!!” said Leviathan. “The winner is Hadad!” said Satan as she had Gordon’s crown return to his head. “You won. Alright Hadad!!” said Zeus as he headed over to Gordon while his women followed. “Thank you.” said Gordon. “Say Hadad. You want to celebrate with one on my girls?” said Zeus. “No thanks. I’ll just have a glass of wine.” said Gordon as he sat down on a bench. And with that, Gordon celebrated the victory of the battle with a glass of wine given to him by one of the girls that came with Zeus.
