Chapter 1 – The Gathering (Part 1)A Chapter by johnub4This is the first chapter of the book.As
Gordon Stone and his wife Asmodeus finished hunting a demon on one of the
public alleyways in Downtown Boston, they found themselves surrounded by a team
of them. “What the hell?” said Gordon. “Yeah, what is going on?” said Asmodeus.
Without any explanation, the demons attacked the pair. With no other choice,
Gordon and Asmodeus rushed into battle. Knowing that the legion and demon had
exerted half of their energy from their previous fight, the demon horde used
that to their advantage making it difficult. No matter how much damage Gordon
and Asmodeus took from their foes they refused to give up. With that
persistence, the couple successfully killed every opposing demon except one.
The lone survivor tried to run but couldn’t get far due to Asmodeus stomping it
in the chest. “Why? Why did you not kill me?” said the demon. “Because we want answers
why would you and friends come after us.” said Asmodeus. “Because you’re
hunting us.” said the demon. “We already know that. Don’t give us a vague a*s
answer like that. Now try again.” said Gordon. “Okay. Okay. Lady Satan sent
us.” said the demon. “What the hell would Satan want with us?” said Asmodeus. “We
don’t know. We were just ordered to come after you and give you a message.”
said the demon. “What message?” said Gordon. “The message is I have your friend
Michael Wheeler. If you want him back, then come to the roof of the Prudential
Tower.” said the demon. Gordon and Asmodeus both gasped as they heard that
name. “She got our marriage counselor. We must save Michael!!” said Asmodeus.
“Ha!! You won’t save him. Lady Satan will mop the floor with you both.” said
the demon. After hearing enough, Gordon and Asmodeus killed the last demon, got
in their car and headed for the Prudential Tower on Boylston Street. On the
roof of the skyscraper, Satan waited there for the gathering of her enemies. © 2025 johnub4 |
