Chapter 3 – The Gathering (Part 3)

This is the third chapter of the book.

       Patricia Blackburn, also known as Psyche, was having a picnic with her alien girlfriend Etsilla, also known as Ember. Patricia was wearing a yellow summer dress while Etsilla was wearing a red one. The pair ate together on a hand-crafted gazebo near the Nartakaturian spaceship parked at the Blue Hills Reservation near Boston, Massachusetts. Patricia and Etsilla giggled as they fed fruit to each other. “Patricia. This is amazing.” said Etsilla. “It sure is Etsilla.” said Patricia. “Say Patricia. What’s on your mind?” said Etsilla. “What do you mean?” said Patricia. “I can hear your thoughts that you really want to tell me something.” said Etsilla. “I can’t hide anything from you. Can’t I?” said Patricia. “You know it.” said Etsilla. And with that, Patricia pulled out a small cardboard rectangular box and said, “Etsilla.” “Patricia. What is that?” said Etsilla. “Etsilla. I love you. I love you more than anything in this world. Will you be my wife?” said Patricia as she opened the box and showed Etsilla a ring. Etsilla gasped and said, “Your wife? Wait isn’t that…?” “Yes. It was my mother’s ring. Kenan found it on her corpse. I paid to have it cleaned up.” said Patricia. “Kenan is really a great guy.” said Etsilla. “He is. Anyway, I want to marry you. Will you accept this ring? No matter what answer you give me I will always love you.” said Patricia. Without any other questions, Etsilla took the ring, placed it on her finger and said, “This is my answer, Patricia Blackburn.” As Patricia and Etsilla were about to kiss, they were interrupted by the presence of a horde of demons. “What the hell?” said Patricia as she used her telekinetic powers to destroy a handful of the demon’s hearts. Etsilla helped by burning as many of the demons as she could with her flames. They killed the faction down to one. “Why? Why didn’t you kill me?” said the demon. “Because you’re going to tell us why you did this in the first place.” said Etsilla. Patricia lifted the demon with her telekinesis and said, “You ruined our special moment. Tell us now and I will ease your death.” “Lady Satan wanted us to give you a message.” said the demon. “What message?” said Patricia. “She has Michael Wheeler. If you want to save him, go to the Prudential Tower.” said the demon. “What?” “Yes. Now let me go.” said the demon. “I’ll let your demon a*s go. I’m sending you back to Hell after you die by my hand.” said Patricia after she crushed the demon with a boulder nearby. With the fighting now over, Etsilla’s polymath Telnor and her maid Oryssa came out of the ship. “Your majesty. What is going on out here?” said Oryssa. “Just dealing with some demons Oryssa. I apologize for asking so suddenly. Can you and Telnor look after the ship again? Patricia and I have another trip to make.” said Etsilla. “No problem your majesty. We ask that you both be careful and return.” said Telnor. “Sure thing. Come on, Patricia. We must save Michael.” said Etsilla. “Right.” said Patricia. And with that, Patricia and Etsilla both headed back to Boston to get to the Prudential Tower. On the roof of the skyscraper, Satan waited for the gathering of her enemies.
