Chapter 6 – The Otherkind

This is the sixth chapter of the book.

Kenan and the others fought to remain standing as Satan gave them a tremendous roar. “Hang on everyone!!” said Kenan. “Right!!” said Gordon and the others. “Damn!! So, this is Satan’s true power!!” said Asmodeus. “Citizens of Boston, Massachusetts!! Prepare to be the first to fall at my power!!” said Satan. And with that, a portal opened in the sky over the John Hancock Building on Clarendon Street. From that wormhole an immense army of demons came out and began attacking civilians. “Okay. Half of us are going to have to take on Satan while the rest go after the demons.” said Kenan. “We have no other choice.” said Helena. “Gordon, Asmodeus, Patricia, Etsilla, Astaroth and Kafziel are with me to take on Satan. Jonathan, Byleth, Sophia and the witches can go take out the demons. And you, Tariq, stay and protect Michael.” said Kenan as he raised the cursed dagger. Kafziel looked at Kenan and said, “Kenan. Wait. Don’t do it.” “I have no other choice Kafz. If we are to beat her, we’re going to have to use every inch of power we have.” said Kenan. “Okay.” said Kafziel as she sniffled. “Do it Kenan.” said Astaroth. “I’m not sure what’s going on about here, but I trust you Kenan. Whatever plan you have act it out.” said Patricia. “Yeah!!” said Etsilla, Gordon and Asmodeus. “Thank you. All of you.” said Kenan as he stabbed himself with the cursed dagger. “You’re taking the curse willingly? You’re a goddamn fool.” said Satan. “Maybe but I’m an honest fool who’s willing to make a sacrifice to attain a victory. If I don’t then who will.” said Kenan as he transformed into his demon form at an instant. Alongside with Gordon and the others, they charged at Satan. To prevent her enemies from reaching her, Satan blew a burst of fire at them. The group of heroes separated to dodge the attack. At the same time, Patricia and Etsilla struck Satan directly in the eyes throwing large chunks of glass from the windows from the tower. Satan screamed as loud as she could while being blinded. Kenan, Astaroth, Asmodeus and Kafziel took their chance and punched Satan directly in the neck. Lastly, Gordon conjured up a wave of air and thunder and blasted Satan causing her to fall onto the ground. The beating the Devil took made her go unconscious. Meanwhile on the street, Sophia, Byleth, Jonathan and the witched fought Satan’s army of demons. With Satan out cold, the demons attempted to retreat. Unfortunately for the opposing faction, Sophia and the others slaughtered them. Some of the monsters managed to leave Earth by going back through the same portal they came out of. Believing that Satan was dead, Kenan and the others retreated onto the roof of the Prudential Tower while the other group reunited with them there. Michael stood there frustrated as he could. Kenan miraculously reverted into his human form. “You!! All of you!! Do you have any idea what you have just done?” said Michael. “Why the hell are you mad? We just saved you and this is how you thank us?” said Patricia. “You refused to listen to reason and because of that you had to fight.” said Michael. As Michael argued with his rescuers, they heard a very loud roar from the street below. And with that, Satan flew back up in midair and said, “You impudent fools!! Did you really think that would be enough to stop me?!!” “No, we didn’t.” said Kenan. “What?” said Satan. “That was only a distraction from our true plan.” said Kafziel. “What?!!” said Satan. “Natalie!! Now!!” said Helena. “Right!!” said Natalie as she raised one of her hands at Satan. Satan gave her enemies a confused expression, looked at Natalie’s glowing hand and said, “What the hell are you doing?” “Oh, you will see.” said Natalie. “Well, I won’t let you do whatever you’re planning.” said Satan as she attempted to use her fire breath. Unfortunately for Satan she was frozen in place by Kenan and Faith’s time magic. “There!! Come on Natalie!!” said Kenan. “Right!!” said Natalie as her plunder magic began to go into effect. “No!! My power is being taken away!!” said Satan. “Yes!! Someone like you don’t deserve power when you’re using it for evil.” said Astaroth. “That’s easy to say when you use to be on my side Astaroth. Tariq help me.” said Satan. “Never.” said Tariq as she remained standing not lifting a finger. “I can’t believe this. I lost? Me? The Devil?” said Satan as she reverted to her previous form when most of her strength have been taken. When she believed it was enough, Natalie undid the spell and let Satan fall to the ground. Patricia, Etsilla and Zoe have used their telekinesis powers to levitate Satan back onto the Prudential Tower roof. Now defeated, Satan’s hair and eyes had turned red. Kenan, and the others approached Satan closely. “You give?” said Kenan. “Yes. You all win.” said Satan. “Satan. I deeply apologize for all of this.” said Michael. “No. I should be the one doing that Michael. I apologize for kidnapping you. Oh, and why don’t you tell me what you were going to say earlier.” said Satan. “I forgive you for covering my mouth. I was going to tell you that one of my patients is a woman named Angela. She would always tell me in our sessions of a beautiful woman with red hair and eyes. I’m assuming that woman is you.” said Michael. “Wait. You mean she is alive?!! My lying b***h of a father lied to me!! He told me she was dead.” said Satan as she shed some tears. “If its okay for me to come into this conversation, I like to ask who your father is.” said Kenan. “You don’t know Kenan? I thought you would since Kafziel mentioned him when she sucked me into that jar.” said Astaroth. “Wait you mean her father is…?” said Kenan. “Yes. Her father is none other than the Almighty himself.” said Kafziel. Kenan and the others gasped as they heard what Kafziel said. “It’s true. He is my dad.” said Satan. “Does this Almighty have any other name?” said Kenan. “Yes. His birth name is Michael. He is the most powerful of the four archangels.” said Kafziel. “Archangels?” said Kenan. “You met one before. Raphel. He is the oldest of them.” said Byleth. “Oh.” said Kenan. “Michael, can you tell me exactly where Angela lives?” said Satan. “I am not sure if I should give that information.” said Michael. “Please.” said Satan. “All right. I will do that, but I first must get back to my office.” said Michael. “Satan why were you, so hell bent on destroying the world?” said Asmodeus. “Because I wanted to get back at my dad. He only likes this planet so much because he loves it that humans believing in him thinking that there is some kind of eternal reward. That tells me he needs humans. Why does he need them? I am not so sure.” said Satan. “Well how about coming at him directly instead of taking your anger out on them.” said Asmodeus. “I couldn’t because I couldn’t leave Hell. I was stuck there. I was too weak to leave.” said Satan. “Wait a minute. So that’s why you sent us out on Earth to get human souls for you?” said Asmodeus. “Yes…,” said Satan. “I think there are others that you should tell this to.” said Sophia as she opened her backpack and pulled out a medium sized wooden box. “What’s that Sophia?” said Gordon. “You don’t know? That’s Pandora’s box.” said Helena. “Wait a minute. That’s the Pandora’s box? Why do you have that here?” said Kenan. “Because the Seven Deadly Sins are in here. They’re the ones who were harvesting souls for Satan. I think they should hear her tell them the truth as well.” said Sophia. “I see but won’t something horrible happen if you open it?” said Kenan. “It won’t. That will only be the case if it’s opened by someone with an evil heart.” said Sophia. “Okay Sophia. If that is what you believe, then I trust you. Go on.” said Kenan. “Thank you, Kenan.” said Sophia as her eyes glowed blue. Kenan looked at Sophia and said, “Wow.” “With the power that resides in me, Seven Deadly Sins I set you free.” said Sophia as she opened the box and seven streams of spiritual energy exited from it. Kenan and the others were amazed by the sight of pure energies encircling around the tower. In a matter of seconds, the streams landed on the roof and materialized into their physical human forms. Kenan and the other members of his group kept their focus on the demons. “It’s been a while Uncle Lucifer, Mammon, mom, Leviathan, Beelzebub, Belphegor and my clone.” said Satan. Lucifer of Pride was in the form of a young Caucasian man with a crew cut. His hair and eyes were black. He wore a white suit with a black dress shirt. He also wore a crown of black flames like Satan’s. Mammon of Greed was in the form of an African American woman. Her hair was braided, and her eyes were green. She wore a flashy bright green dress and matching green shoes. She also wore a crown of green flames. Satan’s mother, Lillith of Lust, was in the form of a Caucasian woman with long red hair. Her eyes were also red. She wore a flashy dark red dress with matching red shoes. She also wore a crown of red flames. Leviathan of Envy was in the form of a Caucasian woman with long blue hair. Her eyes were also blue. She wore a flashy light blue dress and matching blue shoes. She also wore a crown of blue flames. Beelzebub of Gluttony was in the form of a Caucasian man wearing a bright yellow suit with matching shoes. He had a set of yellow eyes. His tie was covered with pictures of pizza slices on it. His head was shaved completely bald. He also wore a crown of yellow flames. Beelzebub’s sister, Belphegor of Sloth, was in the form of a Caucasian woman with blond hair and yellow eyes. She wore a light flashy yellow dress and matching shoes. She also wore a crown of yellow flames. The last demon was an exact human copy of Satan wearing the same clothes her original body had on.  “Wait a minute. One of them is a clone of Satan.” said Gordon. “Yes. Come back in my body clone of wrath.” said Satan. “With pleasure.” said the copy of Satan as she phased into the original body. “So, these are all the Seven Deadly Sins.” said Kenan. “Yes. I have already met one of them before. Leviathan is Sophia’s mother. We fought many times before and lost to me each time.” said Gordon. “With your powers I’m sure she would never even stand a chance.” said Kenan. “You’re right about that. One of those fights my mother used my body to fight Gordon.” said Sophia. “And I apologize again for that.” Leviathan. “And I forgive you for that as well as neglecting your duties as a mother.” said Sophia. “Very well.” said Leviathan. “So, we’ve heard that Lady Satan has something she likes to say to us.” said Mammon. “Yep. Even though I am no longer one of the Sins, I like to hear it as well.” said Asmodeus as she stood side by side with the other Sins. “I sent all of you to Earth to harvest souls for me because I wanted to escape Hell to get back at my father.” said Satan as she sighed. “After hearing that it just shows that you are nothing but a lying selfish b***h!!” said Asmodeus as she gave Satan a furious look. “Wait a minute. Is that the truth Lady Satan?” said Beelzebub. “Really my Lady?” said Belphegor. “Yes, Beelzebub and Belphegor. It is.” said Satan. “Why didn’t you just tell us the truth?” said Belphegor. “Because I thought that none of you would even want to get involved. I couldn’t leave Hell, so I needed help.” said Satan. “I really want to…,” said Asmodeus. Lillith stood in front of Satan and said, “Wait. Don’t touch her.” “Why? Why are you defending her? She used you for her own selfish gains. She used me.” said Asmodeus. “Because I am willing to take whatever you want to give to her. I am willing to take that as her mother.” said Lillith. “Mom…,” said Satan. “And I am willing to take it as her uncle.” said Lucifer as he stood in front of Satan as well. “You too?” said Asmodeus. At an instant, the other Sins have joined with Lillith and Lucifer. “All of you.” said Satan. “Why? Why won’t you just simply hate her? Why?!! WHY?!!!!” said Asmodeus. “Baby. You really need to calm down. I recommend you don’t make the same mistake that dreadful parasite did.” said Gordon. “I hate to cosign. Yes, Asmodeus you need to calm down. They must have their reasons behind their actions just like you do when you chose to want to fight Hell instead of serving it.” said Kenan. “You want to know why we’re defending her still? Because even though she lied to us, she is still our leader. We’re pretty much nothing but tools. That’s all we have been and that’s all we ever will be.” said Lucifer. “But you can be more than just tools. You can be who you really are. You can find that just like I did.” said Asmodeus as she pointed her finger at Gordon. “They’ve made their choice Asmodeus. You can’t change that.” said Sophia. “Sophia is right my love.” said Gordon. Asmodeus sighed and said, “Okay. I apologize for my outbursts.” “It’s okay Asmodeus. Living as her servant must have been worse than death. Anyway Satan, I got to ask this. How does it feel knowing that you failed? What does it make you want to do right now?” said Kenan. “This.” said Satan as she removed her crown, opened a portal and tossed it through the wormhole. At the same time, the crowns on the other Sins have disappeared. “My Lady. Why would you do that?” said Beelzebub. “Yeah. Don’t you need that?” said Gordon. “No. I lost remember? I’m no longer allowed to have it. I don’t deserve the rank of the Devil after losing. All of you are no longer bound to me. The Seven Deadly Sins are officially disbanded. You are free to make your own choices.” said Satan. “As I’ve said before you are still our leader. We are the Seven Deadly Sins and that’s never going to change. Isn’t that right everyone.” said Lucifer. “Right!!” said Leviathan and the others. “Uncle…,” said Satan. “I see here.” said Kenan. “What are you going to do with me now?” said Satan. “As much as we like to push your minions aside and kill you right here and now, we think it’s a better idea to get to the bottom of your family problem.” said Jonathan as he sheathed his sword. “Yeah.” said Natalie and the witches. “You all would do that for me? After I tried to kill you?” said Satan. “It’s more rewarding in making it right by letting you live.” said Kenan. “So how do we even get to Heaven?” said Natalie. “Don’t worry Natalie. I’ve been there before.” said Kenan as he grabbed the golden key around his neck and conjured a portal by the edge of the roof. “So, we just go through there?” said Sophia. “Yes.” said Kenan. “Before we go, I like to ask that you call me by birth name.” said Satan. “I thought that your name is Satan.” said Helena. “No. Satan is the name my mother gave me after I took over Hell. My real name is Seraphina.” said Seraphina. “That’s a lovely name.” said Zoe. “Thanks. Now how about we go.” said Seraphina. And with that, The Otherkind along with their newfound allies, The Seven Deadly Sins went into the portal together to get to Heaven with the intention of making matters right.
