I Shall Not Die Here

just a quick poem i did she tries to escape but in the end the want to live wins

Rushing up the staircase

with every step i quicken my pace

my breath comes in short gasps

my dress trailing stirring up the long forgotten dust

i had given them my undying trust

betrayal chockes the air with its foul smell

how did my heaven turn to such hell?

tears flowing hot down my face

i reach the top

the window sill i do trace

with my finger tips

softly as i look beyond into the neverending horizon

looking down, one quick escape

I take a step forward feeling the soft breeze across my cheek

i stop as i ready myself, eyes wide

and i crumple to the ground

sobbing from the fear

betrayl chokes my every breath

but i shall not die here
