Morning comes

Just a little something I wrote while seeing this pretty flower at work :-)

Soft morning flowers 

Stretch out their tear veiled petals

Kissed by light rains dew

I very much like this ... but am wanting to change one word. Are they really tear STAINED if the tears are still there resting gingerly on the petals. A stain is evidence of what was there. How would tear SPECKED ... or tear DOTTED ... or even tear COVERED. Just an old guy's thoughts.

I went back and forth over that word, trying to find something better... although I did just write this to be a top of the head kinda thing, I'd still like it to sound good... you are definitely right, i knew stained didn't fit the rest well, thanks for the advice :):)
