True Ecstasy

Inspired by my Muse

You’ve never truly known strength,

Until the day I held you tight.

No safe haven as warm or shielding,

As when you’re wrapped securely in my arms.

Every detail, every inch of your fair skin,

Explored by my rough yet gentle hands.

Our bodies entwined and minds connected

New smells, new tastes, true ecstasy.

Our paths collide on a journey with the same destination,

Our hearts will lead as our bodies eagerly follow.

My gaze never breaks from yours as we reach the pinnacle,

Pulse quickens, sweat glistens, hushed screams echo.

I’ve never truly seen beauty,

Until the day I woke next to you.

Never so at peace or complete,

As when you’re wrapped securely in my arms.

The title caught my attention. I really like the nice and gentle act of strength that is so loving, in the first stanza. Such a loving write with loving and beautiful emotions and imagery of descriptions that are such beauty... this poem flows so nicely. Really a nice write, enjoyed.
