A Poem by joshua deathdealer
"

"

you don't think

I know

that you know

look deeper

and you will find

the source

the reason

for my depravity

my bitter mask

drowning softly

in the black, its

grown into a monster

that I fight daily

at the drop of a hat

the reflection of a thought

its been with me

since the age of five

the first time I died

Powerful words and thoughts my friend.
"the reason
for my depravity
my bitter mask"
We do wear fake face and learn bitterness. I enjoyed this poem. Honest tone and direct. My favorite kind of poetry. I will return later and read some more. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Interesting poem rising different images and ways of interpretation. To me it reads like a poetical introductory to a thriller, there are elements in it which create tension. Moreover your choice of words is rather simple but well done.

"You don't think I know that you know ... " Those opening lines are so enigmatic that they just draw the reader in. Then, the finale, "it's been with me since the age of five, the first time I died." Wow! The darkness is like a tide that ebbed in the beginning and flowed down to the very end ... the darkest of tears. Unfortunately, I think too many of us know; and we know that you know that we know.

Great line here,"drowning softly in the black, its grown into a monster."
You allow your readers to feel the struggle you battle.
It's dark and eerie.
Great job.
