I look into your eyes ever so closely as we lay in my bed
silently removed from the war that rages around us breathing in unison the placidity of this moment my fair love, this night we are safe from peril our litanies are in amplified effect we are impervious to their fallacies we have hollowed out an early embrace in this wall of time a chance for our knowing lips to kiss, a tangible collision a way to soothe our aching skin, melting collectively my fair love, this night we have made for ourselves
