Lost

first poem in a while

went missing

gone for about a year

worried sick and missing you

I want you back my dear

I've turned this world upside down

inside out too

looked everywhere I can think of

I still haven't found you

where could you possibly be

did you suddenly dissipate

leaving me here

not able to create

I wasn't myself without you

you might be back for good

you might just be staying the night

will you stay? I think you should

what a surprise this was

I'm glad our paths have crossed

I didn't think I'd see you again

I thought my writing was lost

In this poem I am talking about how I have not been able to write for a while. how is it?

Okay, I love this. Simply love this. Nice how it can go many ways, for a person or writing. How you wrote of the loss of writing, and wanting it back hoping it will stay... brilliant how you pictured and worded it. Many poems written about writing just like this, writer's block and such, but I love how you wrote this one. Brilliant. Awesome. Loved. Enjoyed.

The first stanzas led me to think it a woman you spoke of, and what an surprise to find out it was your writing. OH how I know that feeling when words will not surface and then like terrential rain they spew out. Loved it.

[frivolous treasures]

This was nicely written. As a fellow poet, I think I would definitely feel the same way about losing my ability to write. I wouldn't be myself...
As writers, we are artists. We paint pictures for others to read. Without writing, we survive by hanging on with sore hands, aching for the pen and paper.
