Broken Mind

Just a small poem about a past love but it doesn't seem to die

I want to say I still love you but I can't find the words 

wishing that both of us could just fly with the birds,

I feel we started something but never got to finish 

left me broken and diminished,

Beating down mentally can't sleep without dreaming about you

I wake up realizing that nothing is what I amount too

My life just seems to be nothing without you,

and I just can't let go always thinking of the day that I met you,

that I would do anything to protect you

and you just walked away and I can't believe that I let you.
