Praying Again

Praying Again

A Poem by butterfly

It hurts even in the way we speak
Our bond falls weak
With estrangement of family
We cant make others see
Even as we walk the San Francisco streets with holiday decor inbetween
I am stuck in front of this closed door
for what feels like infinity
Its lonelier than before
I am the black sheep
Falling in love with married men
Are these the punishments from thee
I dont complain I am just on my knees
Praying again....
As we watch the old chapter ends another begins
I surrender the pain for the good
I hope you will watch over family and friend
Even though my love didnt love I think of BEN
All that we shared is left in the past
I can lock the door in at last
I learned about heavens and lessons
I dont complain something made me fall for him the red flags were like a Christmas light
Shiny and new so I surrounded myself with them but blind
Here in 2022 I am just on my knees its all we can keep doing in the end
Praying again...

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. When you're young you will make mistakes in life. They are lessons in life that help you mature into a responsible adult. I have known both men and women who enter into relationships with people who are with someone else already or married. It never ends well for them. Some learn to never do that again while others don't care and continue to search for married or taken people to be with. They become fixated on the danger of being in a relationship like that. When a person is young these types of choices are pretty common, but you learn from them. It doesn't make you a bad person for making such a mistake at a young age. But if you grow up into an adult and continue to make these same mistakes over and over then it becomes problematic. No one in life is perfect and we have all made similar mistakes. But to become a better you one must learn from wrong and come to realize they are worth being loved by someone who isn't loving anyone else but them. Self esteem relies on that belief.
