The Miserable Dream

The Miserable Dream

A Poem by butterfly

You and I are a miserable dream
The girl in the mirror staring at me is not the one I want to be
He says sorry I have bills and responsibilty
What about us?
Why can't we spend time, watch tv?
Why is our time just making love?
Even when he is with her he thinks of me it makes him smile
Cant you see the future is bleakness piled
It makes me want to scream
Why is life like this?
I need your kiss
i need your touch
to feel the love's deliciousness
Yet your complicated life takes you so far
Yet he says I am in his heart
just let it break
let it die
we dont have a place
this is a fool's paradise
We were supposed to watch stranger things
Just one episode
in this crazy kaleidoscope
I must hold on to hope
Let him go
His heart is stone
So cold just like the grey sky
Please set me free
Please cut this leash
From this miserable dream
