In a Homeless World

In a Homeless World

A Poem by butterfly

I live in a homeless world
We settled for tents for each boy and girl
While forcing child birth
Is a life on the streets truly worth?
The broken earth overflows with hurt
A mama and her daughter can't seem to escape the curse
She complains the boiling of water is a waste
Every morning like clock work
It leaves an unpleasant taste of irate
The daughter screams you are always scolding me
I just woke up I was only making coffee
Could have used some of the water for your cup
Yet you throw it up
scalding me with this heat
the irritation that grows with seed
I learned my first crush got married to his true love yesterday
For the most unromantic reason of a rebate
It leaves me with a heart break
Not because I miss my love but because the reason screams to me of something I cant relate
Singles dont have anyone to get the discount
How now can I afford my house
Its an unfair world
filled with hurt and curse
yet we settled for tents for each boy and girl
as I look out my window in a homeless world.
