Autumn's New SongA Poem by butterflyWalking with civilization witnessing a carnival of humanity and animation in this San Francisco Bay Area Nation The sky is blue and the construction zones not new yet this chapter without you is a bitter truth Why was I the one chosen to be used? Its not my job to find the answers and the clue I leave it behind The yesterday is gone I walk on I pray the next chapter will be happily ever after Goodbye to the painted happiness and laughter I see the rain coming down and washing it all away The scars remain and it feels like I am on the outside always I sit across from the ferries Should I go to Larkspur See what lurks there find the giggle berries? I sit in the Starbucks cafe Praying for the good lucks to come my way Sipping on iced pumpkin spice latte with spices on the lite cream Everyone with a group at surrounding tables All except for the solo by the window and me At least we sit at this table of never ending free I pray that we can all be in this kind of peace As the greed takes on the future And my dreams are squashed by the abuser I will take this opportunity because it can be worse My singledom is no curse Still I pray the lonely feeling to forever leave my purse Yet still I say thanks with a head that will lift because life is a gift As I sip on my pumpkin spice latte I shake the leaves of sadness away with yesterday so far gone enjoying the season of autumn's new song
