Better than this

Keep the faith when life is hard

I still fall in love with the human race

Its all God made

Yet He granted free will

I guess it was my own will to break my own heart

No one is to blame

Should have known all this is lame

Everyone warned me so

Now here I am embracing the truth so ugly and cold

Yet its the real that brings powers to heal

I closed the chapter

I let go and found a new happily ever after

He still wanted my body but thats it

He brought me my peppermint toads and it lifts my spirit

I deserve it all

I will find it all

Some Mr. Right brave enough to love me

Not only will he wake my sleeping love

He will love me back in the light

So I go back to my dark room in this eternal night

i go back to sleep

I will wait for true love's kiss

As I dream of a life better than this

Only the faith keeps this beating heart

I still fall in love with the human race

Everything beautiful is God made

So the old chapter fades

Happily ever after is replaced

I can walk away on my own

I know now his arms was never my home

Just a temporary shelter from the cold

I will always love you

But its time to let go

As I enter my dark room in this eternal night

I fall back to sleep

I will wait for true love's kiss

His was not the one for then he would never choose to be gone

I dream on as I await the new life better than this...
