New better me tomorrow

I met a new version of my self today

Another trauma was shaken away

There are still so many lessons to learn

I have to speak up be confident in what I say

I just have to let go and let that old bridge burn

Walk a new path

Float to a new place

I tried to get over the last guy with the new one

Turns out it was dumb

I realized if its not you I don't want another

The way they touch me is not the same

I feel like a lifeless doll in that game

I tried to make the dress fit

In the end I made up a story flew home in my Lyft

I need the fairytale prince to jump start my heart

Till then I will be floating like a shadow in the dark

Yet my light is the brightest spark

I just need that connection

A man who is loyal with love and affection

A man who hears what I say and a man I am excited to talk to on that same day

It used to be me and you

But I realize he is still in love with another

Its the bitter truth

Yet this pill i swallow

to find the new better me tomorrow
