The Power of the DreamA Poem by butterflyWhen I text I miss and think him all the time I was really about the power of the dream I was inspired by fictious story I let it be The truth can't be unseen I block her page I forget for a day The fact remains he still loves her thats why he leaves me to return forever together the side chicks get left out in the cold when it was my embrace that he said was home living his double life mending cars breaking hearts its a life i truly must part the path i cant follow all that we ever were was a fairy tale from pixie hollow i let it be i can' t settle for mere fantasy i can't settle for drudgery this is how I felt when the new friend kissed me I wanted to return instantly to the married men who was the vision of a dream yet a dream is all it can ever be life is cruel cupid plays his games makes the mortals like a fool i was on the trail of love thats the sound that moves me thats the spark i follow when it comes for hopeless romantics we often appear dumb yet at a glance we just want that sweet romance when Aurora sang to Philip that sweet melody i know you i walked with you once upon a dream it sure sounds lovely more than an invite to the hot tub i say no to you sir because I am looking for a hot love now i know the difference but the world has settled for a dreary fate i believe its never to late God will always come to make sure we are awake the power of the dream He breathes in to this lifeless ache reminding me the path continues on to that desired place i cant give up even when the world tries to remake love its always the same ever true just like a light shining through the window i know its the angels above reminding me not to be blue for love is all around me and you see the gleam in my eyes tonight I rediscover the power of the dream when one shatters in to tiny pieces pick them up and keep on for there is still a life to be lived kiss the love and let it fly away what is meant to be ours will always stay until then find that returning need in the power of the dream.
