Blueprint of Love

Blueprint of Love

A Poem by butterfly

I try to breathe out the heartache
there is so much
the least one keeping me awake
is the fact I am unemployed
I apply on Indeed
still haven’t found the dream
because this is it this is the true joy
just sitting on the couch eating chips
is USA another sinking ship
she is evolving
but statue of liberty couldn’t stay
she had to walk away
I listen to Ben Harper say the same
but its the loss of us that has me so messed up
didn’t you know you were my blueprint of love
he tell me he is fucked
not a good husband
not a good boy friend
not a good soul mate
so then why call my name?
maybe I was your blueprint of love
you saw something that made you sing say you will stay
in the van
before I laid upon this naked man
feeling pleasure at its best
this memory is like a stolen jewel from the treasure chest
but it was just brass
thrown in the trash
look how everything turned ugly
but the blueprint was lovely
still I had to take this blue print and rip it up
thats the way love goes
when its just an empty shadow
in your eyes was only dark paradise
he tried to keep this butterfly in a jar
carelessly left open
so me and my blueprint of love flies back to heaven
i hope I broke his heart
so he too can feel this pain
i breathe it in
i breathe it out
lie in bed awake
with eternal heartache
