Surviving Ships

Surviving Ships

A Poem by butterfly

I applied to many jobs on indeed
 a little more than 3
less than 20
how many is plenty
no one comes to hire me
I dont want to work
but I am running low on pennies
freedom is great
having no money hurts
if there are enough employers to pay the employees
why can’t we just help each other dream
what if love and peace were the new currency
our president can be AI
maybe there will be more inspiration in our earthly life
if we can’t take it with us
what do we leave behind
silver rust
lust
they ask me where will I be in 5 years
saved from drowning tears
laughing with Atsuko
sitting on the couch eating chips
a new kind of woke
staying calm on surviving ships
