I Talk to the Moon

I Talk to the Moon

A Poem by butterfly

I talk to the moon
even in the afternoon
because by the time I wake
it is like night
its alright
I have surrendered the old life
i realize I was Bonnie He is Clyde
just doing crime
kissing and enjoying the high
rubbing our bodies over one another
with loves caress
feeling a unique happiness
I miss him and that dream
I dont know how to start again
I apply on Indeed
Only to have them email me
saying they have gone with other applicants
so maybe I will take the time to write
my inspiration and excitement for a new life
gives me unbreakable sunshine
Through it the memories of us are revealed
No matter how I pack away they are under the peel
hope you heal
hope love returns for the world to feel
The USA and everywhere traded it for lust
thats why all this dust falls on us
from democrat to republican no one is innocent
we choose to keep man made laws
instead of following the one from above
about love
so I feel there is no safe place to go
I am in my cocoon
even in the afternoon
I talk to the moon
