Sorry

it can be hard saying sorry and all that....

i said sorry
thats all i can do
i will no longer be the emo punching bag for you
there is nothing to regret
no tears to cry
no sadness inside
i did my best
if i failed in the end
sometimes it be that way friend
why can’t we bury all our sins deep
why must we dig it up for everyone to see
if you are angry and need to scream
then scream
lets end this bad dream
forgive me and thee
i did say sorry

Some people find it easier to forgive than others. Hopefully a sorry will have the desired result. This is a poem which is seeking a clearing of the air. No more bad blood. Hopefully a fresh start Butterfly.

I like the layout of this. Third line is like arms spread hoping for a truce hug...then starting at line ten we see the bloating that happens when our gut is full of regret and it is giving us an ache we can't shake.
