My Neighbor Totoro

My Neighbor Totoro

A Poem by butterfly
"

I celebrate freedom with a friendly forest spirit in my own wonderland.

"
I hear the pops and the booms
While its a blue sky afternoon
With My Neighbor Totoro
I wake up to a brand new morrow
I drank my mushroom espresso Iced coffee
Thanked the good Lord for this air I breathe
Even though I plead not to be
He still wakes me
i ask Him, Are we free?
He says not because of the war, not because of human things or silly kings
As long as you believe
in the songs that we sing
shining with God light is better than any diamond ring
in the sun the God shines through
bringing life to a new pink rose in my garden good
and so even though the news of that beautiful bill looms
i choose to blow up the sky with beads of peace
I choose to let His love scatter on all this gray matter
I do not fear though there is so much political chatter
as people celebrate their Mad Hatter
I walk deeper in my wonderland
free of commands from the white man
because I can
in a brand new morrow
with my Neighbor Totoro
