Sunset

Sunset

A Poem by butterfly

I'll watch the sunset
and I forget
your face
your embrace
These memories
These dreams
Fill this empty space
I stare in to the star wars scenery
Wondering if you still think of me
why did you have to be so fake
why does this life feel like eternal heartache
I see all our memories
floating in the bay beneath
the orange skies beaming at me
lining the alameda sky
with the crane light
taking me away to another galaxy
till I am free finally
to forget every sweet moment
because it was never real
as I try to continue to heal
watching every dream floating in the polluted sea
till I forget while watching the sunset
