Midnight Blue Sky

I stare in to the God light

Try to absorb the solar power over the bay bridge skyline

wishing for you

But alas he is just my red, white and blue

Did the love affair maim him too

He didnt even know what the word maim means

A lonely creature is me

Is this my everlasting destiny

I tried to fish for the cute guy at this Faction bar

Reading a book could have made a perfect we

instead I ate an Impossible cheese burger solo in the dark

only in my dreams

he never even sees me

just packs his bag to swiftly leave

I drink my Belgium brew

a lava lamp of tears I drink to you

one of 3 dudes come to the now empty seat

asks what book do you read

as his 2 friends ponder if they drank to much for the girl they just meet before me

at this single mingle thing

but they are reunited and are talking

I try again to absorb the God light through the window

i want to go home

i feel so alone

to break the ice they gave me pepper

its a strange thing for a lonely creature's love letter

how to find

only king connected with me under a midnight blue sky

all you can do is try

now I sit at home with Koa fluffy pom dog by my side

in the end it will all be all right

for you see

a lonely creature is me

i try to talk like yoda

because I had a peach matcha drink like soda

followed by beer

I am still full of cheer

Koa didn't want to go beyond the door steps here

as the noisy pretty lights fill the midnight blue sky

This poem is filled with such realism to it. I am single also and boy are there a lot of those experiences in my life. But I go to coffee shops with my single mother. We like to people watch most are writers and businesses workers and take in the views. I love coffee shops. Thanks for such an inspiring poem makes me want to head to the coffee shop soon!! 🤗🤗🤗
