Child of the Night

I was listening to a friend ramble on about everything and this poem came to me while we were up late at night lol!

I am a child of the night

the sign shines in the sky
its the Dan man
not as cool as bat man
but it will have to do
Some are called for a different mission
mine is to forget you
I am a soldier of love
every day of my life
I lost the use of my heart
But, I am still alive
I am a child of the night

Interesting how this poem is relatable.

Even one of the lines fit me at one time...and it was nearly twenty years after a divorce that "I lost the use of my heart"---great line, by the way.
