Blue Flame

Blue Flame

A Poem by butterfly

Angels cry
As we stand on the sides
of the endless pool of sun and moon light
between sorrow and starlight
through the forest of words
in the annex of my soul
there is a secret I keep whole
I am a soldier of love
why were we cursed
why did you come
when you had planned to play a foolish game
i am left burned and fogged
by your blue flame
angels cry because lightning struck
rarely does it go twice
now we out of luck
did I run out of love
no nothing can replace
nothing can be the same
after you left me burned
by your blue flame
I am the mermaid walking on her new legs
watching you kiss your sea witch
for your love i will never beg
leave me then for your planned paradise
but i know in your eyes there is no life
just the sign of death
as you take one more breath
after you are left burned
never to be the same
by your own blue flame
