Old George

Old George

A Poem by Jason Again
"

Another small something I wrote just to pass some time. Nothing major, kind of weird, yet kind of humorous at the same time.

"

Did you ever hear the tale of Old George?

They lost his body on the way to the morgue.

He'd crashed his car and he'd been burned alive.

That poor rescue crew sure was in for a ride.

It was rainy that night and the driver couldn't see.

It's like sliding on ice when you slide on wet leaves.

The doors flew open on that old ambulance.

And out popped George flying into the woods quite a distance.

They searched for days hunting for the old man.

Nothing ever came up, save for his left hand.

They say he's still out there on a lifelong search.

Hacking away like a big brutal lurch.

He needs a new hand for he was a lefty.

So if you meet him out in the woods, the price could be hefty.
