Aiden's Glen

Aiden's Glen

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Can you come to me now,
  take your time slowly,

Forget for a bit,
  the wounds between us.

May we finally reunite,

  in Aiden's Glen.

Accepted my blame,
  have you yours?

Sorry,
  out of line.

I was supposed to be the cold one.

If you can,
  please,
   come back to Aiden's Glen....

if BOTH sides accept the blame...

we can meet once again...takes two.

this is so nicely done...compact and powerful.

Thank you. I had one line stick, and then I ran with it.
This speaks volumes, shows the blame can be on both sides and yet it is perceived solely...by accepting yours, reunion could happen but only if the other person stops seeking to blame too...nice twist in a delicate poem!
Wonderful work xoxo

The bit of Aiden's Glen kept running through my head. Just felt to right to toss away.

I couldn't get away from a phrase. I like the results.
