Slowly, but still hiding my eyes

Slowly, but still hiding my eyes

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Bit by bit,
  moving forward.

Occasional quip,
makes those around me more at ease.

Not an illusion,
  only requires more effort.

Fewer questions.
More time to heal.

Still,
  I am tilting my head.

Concentrating on what is in front of me,
while I answer your question from the side.

Moving forward.

So,
for now I will try not to meet your gaze.

Bit by bit.

Healing.

Slowly.

Still need to hide my eyes.

~ beautiful poetry... so very sensitive and moving... and i know this feeling... sometimes a mountain of sorrow arrives in our universe and we can only move slowly... until enough time passes... and we have grieved as much as was needed...
