Quiet

Quiet

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Some time,
  just better to be quiet.

Not speak a word.

If I can sense your feelings,
I can also return the favor.

Simple glance,
  more than a wasted night.

Offered hand,
  better than a dialog.

Just sitting beside,
  support for the pain.

And,
  every once in awhile,
  eyes meet across the room.

Raise of the glass,
  and the message is sent.

"Well done, my friend."
