You left on the same day.

You left on the same day.

A Poem by Jon Roggie

I missed it.

Stuck in my own grief,
  I missed you.

Same day.

All I can hope,
  her wizened hand,
  held your young one.

Walk on together.

so heavy in grief..yet even in heartbreak.. the vision you convey of the elder walking with the young one is very tender ..

~ heartbreaking... seems like the poet missed someone's departure... as the poet was grieving... life can be so cruel sometimes... the universe doesn't give us a chance to recover before giving us more sadness... ~ if i was the poet, i wouldn't blame myself for what the universe did...
