Familiar road

Familiar road

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Each step is clear.
Walking in my own steps.

Add a new one,
  now and again.

Not by choice.

Each time,
  I get drawn closer.

I see the print of those gone by,
  feel the waiting.

Not yet,
  my friends.

Not yet.

~ beautifully expressed... life seems to be the business of moving closer to the end... but yes... we're still here... ~ i actually look forward to meeting my maternal grandfather though... he left before i was born...
