Escape the cage

Escape the cage

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Excuse me.
  Simple questions require simple answers.

Why not?

Thinking confined by others,
just another way to allow the bars to be built.

Going with the majority,
might as well add the lock.

New thoughts,
  liken to a breakout.

Scrape at the walls,
  file through the bars.

Might require some time and effort.

It's worth it.

Escape the cage,
and slowly walk into my native desert.

Been slacking a bit. At least the time away gave me time to think. Thanks, my friend!

Rene seemed to like this so I had to poke in and read you too. I liked the introduction:

Excuse me.
Simple questions require simple answers.

This transparent cage is often built by narrow-minded individuals. They have a open door right behind them...they just refuse to see the obvious. Instead they choose to look forward to mess with the bars and the lock with no key...I think they just prefer the drama.

Thank you. I agree. I just prefer to let my eyes stay open, and let my thoughts run free.
