Candle burning at both ends

Candle burning at both ends

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Does it help?
   Glimpse of a desert night?
     Life amongst the sand?

Do you feel?
  Waves crashing on the shore?
     Changing and fluid?

Does it remind?
  Breeze across your face?
    Delicate touch like a memory?

Does it warm you?
  Flame of feeling?
    Light and healing?

I rush to ask,
  time is dear.

Try to ask,
  while the light is clear.
