Protecting the scorpion

Protecting the scorpion

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Interesting.

Looking for shelter,
  hiding from the blinding sun.

Unaware,
  shell not stone.

Shall give shelter,
  move slowly,
giving the chance to move along.

Thought as evil,
   merely a killer.

Only the nature of the being,
  born as a predator.

Refuse to condemn.

Besides,
  my skin is thick,
    resistant to the sting.

Just don't mess with the Pixie or the Flutterby.
