How do you write?

How do you write?

A Poem by Jon Roggie

How do you write?
  Just curious.

Do you start with a title or an idea?

Take a title, and form the words around it?

Bestow a title.
  Work is finished.
Should give your creation a name.

I tend to just roll with it.

Catch a phrase,
  vent some anger,
    deal with sorrow.

Try to get a smile.

So,
   back to it.

How do you write?

how do I write..let me count the ways... I write upon a pink mac (pixie size) upon a mushroom most times..sipping rain water tea from the finest blue bell..oh that is not what you mean though is it?
I write from feeling, imagination or experience..( I also have a handy stash of what I call seedings)
then the title is gloriously bestowed upon the creation..with much pomp and circumstance...such as...
great..I have a poem with no title and it won't let me save ... now what !!? So I scratch between my antennas ...pondering... until a lightening bug happens by with a bright idea...sometimes the owl gives a hoot and I take his advice on a title q ; remember you asked and yes it happens like this lol

Love it! Everyone has their own way. Only two responses, but so far, seeing some similarities!

:: hey mister tortoise... i write when something i feel... triggers an opening line... and i need to figure out more... writing is my way of deciphering 'me'... :P :: the source of the trigger is usually an event that causes a change in perception... i try to catch the pulse of my own evolution and share it... :P

:: and during the course of writing... sometimes i invite humour, sometimes rage, sometimes sorrow... but by the time i'm done writing... i spend the emotion... in a good way... so i feel that i actually invest it... to get to know 'me' better... :: i know my conscious mind very well but i don't know my subconscious mind at all... and so... since i write very spontaneously... i get to connect with the subconscious mind and get to know it better... :P
