Leaving the icy slumber

Leaving the icy slumber

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Light and warmth,
  slowly spread.

Time again.

Time to revel.

Watch a flower grow.
   Doves hatching in their nest.

But while I enjoy a spring day,
  I feel the chill.

Nothing to pity.

When I am in my icy sleep,
I dream of my summer days.
