Some more dear than most.

Now,
      would that not snap your head around.

Maybe not.

Until,
  you consider the scene.

Sitting,
  fishing,
    loving the night.
 
"You have to want to be........"

Mid conversation,
  a gasp.


Face seems to retreat toward the shadows,
   as I pound a back,


   and I feel the exhale...

deep breath...


"You have to want to believe."

Thinking about those words in the silence.

Once again, shrouded by the night.

Only broken by three words,
 
  "No more peanuts."
