painted smile

painted smile

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Once I was a jester,
  prancing around,
    with a painted grin.

but they saw I could talk.

It's not the words,
  it's the feelings they bring.

To stir some emotion,
  smile to the face,
    and a tear.

and I wish I was silent.

Sharing a painted smile

I just got the classic drama mask in my mind. Then, I thought if I was asked to talk.
