She is not used to this

She is not used to this

A Poem by Jon Roggie

Used to running free,
while grandma tries to keep up.

Does what she wants.
Maybe she realizes she takes advantage,
or thinks it is the norm.

Now an eye opener.

Someone who not only answers questions,
and corrects misconceptions.

Someone who reminds her,
if only to finish the simple things.

Someone else who cares.

sometimes people aren't used to having others care for them...it does surprise them...

i think kids really do want to be taught, to have restrictions, to know discipline, rules...to know someone does care what they do.

i really like this poem...reminds me of my youth.
