I can't catch up

I do not have the time.

Not to offend,

  I am trying to be honest.

I stumble across words from four years ago.

How am I supposed to keep up?

Momentary visits already feel rushed.

Not to mention,

  I want to write.

It was easier when I was reading Bloom County.

Complain, complain, complain. I read your first poem remember? I know what you are doing -- excuses excuses. You know I am kidding. Dude, if I expected you to keep up, between the two of us we have 1000s of poems up. Read what you want how you want and write. That's why I don't do read requests. They bog you down.

We can only try. Now, let us talk about the important issue. Bloom County. Comic strip written and drawn by Berkeley Breathed. If you ever saw the movie "Secondhand Lions", the cartoons were his. Oddball mix of individuals mixed with some social commentary. The creator took a hiatus, and returned about a year ago. Posting on Facebook has made it possible for him to get away with a bit more. Some characters include a penguin named Opus, a probably brain-dead cat named Bill, and a sleazy lawyer named Steve Dallas, who Charlie Sheen may have tried to live up to the image. Also, Bill the Cat is the presidential candidate, with Opus as his VP, for the Meadow Party.

sounds like something fun to follow ..i will have to check it out .. comic strips have a fine history as a stage for social satire ... even some very old nursery rhymes ;) thanks for the education ..going to look for him before i forget .. love and peace

This is with respect to my fellow writers. I don't stop in for a few days, and I am looking at hours of reading. We all seem to write like maniacs. I can't help wondering what I missed!
