Learning to write

A Poem by Jon Roggie

You need to feel your words.
Learn to share the world around you.

Simple exercise.

Use all of the five senses,
and try to create a story.

Night out,
and walking with your lady.

Listening to the sound of her voice,
while only barely hearing the story.

You are only watching her face.

So, you stop,
and let her fingers slowly slip from your hand.
Just to feel the lingering caress.

Granted,
she knows what you are doing.

Leans close,
and she smells of lavender.

Gives you a quick kiss,
still you taste the mint.

You both smile,
and walk along.

Memories. They add to the story.

yep, they always do ...
it's those little things we notice and appreciate

we pay attention even when we are not paying attention....that's love.
