How would I explain Zen

How would I explain Zen

A Poem by Jon Roggie

This is difficult to explain,
 and at the same time,
  something so obvious.

It is different for each of us.

This is where I might lose some of you.

I find my Zen while cooking.

Left in solitude,
 music playing in the background,
  ingredients playing along.

A new creation.

Never to be recreated.

Now,
 some might ask why?

You can't repeat.

It is all a new attempt,
 building on the past.

Learning.

Moving forward.

Peacefully tasting the possibilities.

Care for a plate?

I love this totally unexpected reveal of your zen-ful kitchen propensities! I never use a recipe, so I never cook the same thing twice. I used to swim laps & got my zen that way. I can't resist a man in an apron, by the way, so please be careful who you're inviting to dinner! *wink! wink!* This is an awesome down-to-earth thought-provoking share! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

You find peace in the oddest places.
Yes please!
Mindfulness in the moment of living is all that matters, whatever you are doing.
