Nighttime romp

Nighttime romp

A Poem by Jon Roggie
"

Sharing some words with barleygirl.

"

He nudges the door open

water dripping from his tail

after splashing in the rainfall
paws paint a splattered trail.

Grabbing a couple dry towels
before chasing down the hall
I curb his muddy enthusiasm
to dodge a bedspread brawl.

Curls in front of the fireplace.

Tired.

Paws twitch,
 chasing a dream.

Yip! Snip! Whine! Yip!
Sleepytime sobs

spread smiles.

I'm very excited you got to play outside! xD and I'm also happy you kept your paws clean!
This was fun! I remember starting this collaboration back when there was some rain around here! Now it's back to dry as a bone, but our poem helps transport me to a rainy night in California. Thanks for sharing this sopping canine love fest (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
